All public land is open to snowshoeing.   There are no snowshoe only trails designated in Forest County but some  of the cross-country ski trails allow it.  When snowshoeing on a groomed  ski trail please stay to the side of, and off the tracked portion of  the trail.

Trails that allow snowshoes:

· Otter Springs - Located  3 miles East of Crandon off Highway 8 on Forest Road 2378. There is a  parking area and shelter available. There is a 1.25 mile (2.0 kilometer)  loop trail and a 3/4 mile suitable for beginners. The intermediate  trail is a 3.0 mile (4.0 kilometer) loop. All trails are groomed and  tracked for cross-country skiing.

· Anvil Trail - Located  8.5 miles East of Eagle River on Highway 70. There are 12 miles of  groomed loop trails ranging from gentle, rolling and hilly.

· Nicolet North -  Located  10.5 miles East of Eagle River to Forest Road 2460, then South on 2060  for 2 miles to the trail head There are 13 miles of groomed trails with  several loop opportunities
