Fishing

Forest  County has many bodies of water with excellent fishing.  There are 824  named lakes and hundreds of unnamed.  Many of the streams in Forest  County form the headwaters of wild and scenic rivers-the Wolf, Brule,  Peshtigo and Pine.  There are over 560 miles of rivers and streams with  many miles of outstanding water resources (OWR) and exceptional water resources (ERW) and 479 miles of  classified  trout streams.   Whether you like fishing from the boat, off the shore,  or on the ice, Forest County has it all.
